A $100 laptop for every child, just not yours...
So,
Read about this $100 laptop in wired and thought, that looks a good buy for my kids, looks pretty tough and even if it's not, it's a 100 bucks if they break it. The laptop itself is a 333mhz cpu with 512mb of memory running a linux variant. It probably does browsing just fine and may run a cut down office suite. It'd be awesome for the kids as a laptop to use given it's ruggedness and cost.
But, you can't get one. A laptop for every child so long as it's not yours. They will only sell to schools, what about consumers?
Bummed out, what do you think?
