Ford Explorer and dealer woes

My 1998 Ford Explorer has been making a belt noise for some time now. It's strange because the dealer, Rochester Ford/Toyota changed the belt at 50k miles.

I'm fed up with them mainly because of high prices and pool quality service and this was reinforced today when I brought the Explorer to a local shop. They said there was no belt tensioner on the belt and this is why the belt was slipping. How can this be the case when the Ford dealer fixed the belt only a year ago.

So, 118 bucks to fix it and more reasons to avoid the dealer in the future.
