Intel finally fesses up about multi-core
"Software has to double the amount of parallelism that it can support every two years".
You have been warned, the game is changing. I was amazed at the response from my is multicore bad for java blog from a while back, i.e. it's not as bad as I was saying etc. Get ready. Parallelism here isn't as simple as multi-threading, finer grained parallelism is whats being talked about also.

I've found the multi-core discussion interesting. What do you think about the recent Power 6 announcement? I'm assuming that architecture is good news for Java?
